What if someone doesn’t have a valid ID?

If you don’t have a valid primary ID, we’ve got a solution to keep the process moving. Per Florida Statutes Section 117.05(5)(b)2, you can use two credible witnesses who know you personally to confirm your identity. Here’s how it works:

    • Each witness needs their own valid primary ID (like a passport or driver’s license—see the list above).
    • They’ll swear under oath that they can verify who you are.

This is a straightforward way to meet notary requirements without a primary ID. For RON, keep in mind that Inmate/Prisoner IDs and Military IDs still won’t work. Want to confirm this fits your needs? Reach out to us—we’re here to assist!
